The Lesher Foundation makes a $100,000 commitment to our Pittsburg free dining room

Stepping up to meet the needs of the local community has is always been the goal of the Lesher Foundation, and the organization has always been an avid and generous supporter of LFCC.

In the Spring of 2010 the Lesher Foundation took the lead role in supporting our partnership efforts with Saint Vincent de Paul by granting $100,000 for the construction of a new, specifically designed dining room for the hungry in Pittsburg.

With the Lesher Foundation grant in place construction was able to begin immediately. On April 15, 2010  the project was underway and two-and-a-half months later guests will enjoy a hot nutritious meal in our new dining room. The impact of the grant ensured that we could open the dining room as quickly as possible to meet the growing needs of the community. The project was shovel-ready when the Lesher Foundation became involved. Results from this grant will be immediate and will be long term. The Lesher Foundation truly makes a difference in the untold lives of many!

Since 1994, the Dean & Margaret Lesher Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $40 million and reaches out to the community in all areas of Contra Costa County.
