A few words about volunteering with Loaves & Fishes of Contra Costa:

Volunteers usually work in teams and with the general public. It is essential that you fit in well with other people with whom you will work. This makes it important that you understand there are some rules we use to govern our behavior and our dress (for propriety and for health & safety).

We operate our programs every weekday in the year and our drivers even work on weekends. We like to give the opportunity to serve to all who are able to truly help under these circumstances, which is why we do rotate volunteering. It takes a lot of time and effort to fit more than 1,000 people into all this each year, so please be patient with our process.
